The Inspiring Stories of Drs. Woo and Polan
Dr. Woo was born in New Jersey before moving to Taipei, Taiwan in fifth grade. She returned to New York City for her higher education, attending Columbia University – Columbia College for her bachelor’s degree and Columbia University for both her D.D.S. and Master of Science degree. As one of only seven residents out of hundreds of applications to Columbia’s prestigious orthodontics program, Dr. Woo received multi-disciplinary training that allows her to provide individualized, comprehensive treatment for every patient.
Dr. Polan is originally from New Rochelle, where he attended local public schools from kindergarten through high school. He attended Washington University in St. Louis, where he received his bachelor’s degree in biology. After graduating, he, like Dr. Woo, attended Columbia University, earning both is D.S.S. and his Master of Science degree. During his time at Columbia, Dr. Polan was proud to lead the student-run dental clinic, providing free dental care to those in need.
